Early Years Foundation Stage
The project will help to support as many children as possible to achieve the required level of development at the end of EYFS.
This successful project, run last year enabled the schools that attended over the last two years, to raise their 'Good Level of Development' (GLD) on average by 11%.
We are confident that participation in this project will strengthen and improve the GLD level for the school and support the team to close attainment gaps.
By attending the course, participants will be:
- given guidance to develop consistent assessment practices helped to implement strategies that support the early identification of children who may be at risk of delay
- supported to make any pertinent changes to the provision using evidence from both child-initiated and adult-led sessions to support attainment
- empowered to unpick individual children's data and match provision to individual need as it is integral to closing the gaps between different groups of children, particularly for pupil premium children, and in order to narrow the gender gap enabled to effectively analyse historic data, and use this knowledge to provide provision that meets each unique child, to close the gaps for as many children as possible, as early as possible
Ensure the school brings their EYFSP data for 2018 and any attainment on entry information.
