Event Description
This is our major secondary science event of the year. The theme of this year’s conference is enhancing and enriching the curriculum. This year’s conference will feature presentations from specialist secondary science keynote speakers and offer delegates the opportunity to participate in workshops, review the resources exhibition and, as always, have some time to network and share ideas with colleagues from other schools.
Dr Tony Sherborne will be delivering a workshop focusing on high grades by design and looking at a 5-year strategy based on a precision curriculum, mastery assessment and brain-based teaching. In addition to Tony, Ellie Cripps from the Thinking Science Project will be delivering a keynote session on developing thinking skills in science lessons. Finally Adam Boxer, Head of Science at TTA, will be speaking about cognitive load, with a particular focus on learning retention.
