Event Description
This course is designed to discuss starting point assessments. It is strongly advised that assessments continue to be judged against the Early Years outcomes for nursery and reception class children for September 2019.

This session will support consistency of judgements across schools. The course will include a joint task and each practitioner will have an opportunity to moderate evidence from at least three children across the range of attainment in their class.

Learning outcomes
By attending the course, participants will:

  • receive updates on attainment and progress in the Early Years Foundation Stage

  • take part in a joint moderation task

  • gain peer-to-peer support for moderation

  • gain validation of judgments agree accuracy of assessment

Please bring examples of Learning Journals/evidence that supports your judgements for three children of differing abilities.
