Event Description
In the Early Years, fostering positive relationships is essential if children's wellbeing needs are to be met. The role of the adult is pivotal in ensuring that children become independent, curious and resilient with life-long learning behaviours. There is a clear relationship between substantial and significant contributions to conversations from both parties and children's learning. High-quality interactions, based on active listening, will improve outcomes for all children. But are we really tuning into children's thoughts and interests and promoting their thinking skills?

This twilight session will provide opportunities for delegates to reflect on their own practice. Discussions will focus on how positive relationships maximise the impact on children's outcomes.
