Event Description
Herts for Learning and Bob Cox, founder of the Opening Doors movement, are delighted to be working in collaboration to present this unique training offer.

Throughout the afternoon session, Bob will guide teachers through the Opening Doors principles, supporting them to see how all learners can be supported to reach for the highest standards.

Examples of pupil’s outcomes, alongside detailed case studies, will exemplify how quality text comprehension can link with quality writing in a rich and exciting curriculum design.

In addition, Bob will share his insights into effective objective sequencing and informed skills progression. Through presenting an assortment of high-quality texts, ranging from picture books to children’s literature and literary texts, Bob will promote a curriculum that offers risk-taking, questioning and choice.

All delegates attending this training will receive copies of Bob’s two new books: ‘Opening Doors to a Richer English Curriculum’, which include 30 new teaching units. (The cost of the books is included within the training cost. Delegates receive the texts with a 50% reduction off the recommended retail price).
