Event Description
This course is aimed at teaching assistants who are new to phonics, or those who have been delivering phonics for a while but would like some reassurance that they are on the right track.

It will support the delivery of phonics within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, as part of small-group work or within whole-class sessions.

During the session, delegates will have the opportunity to get to grips with synthetic phonics, and will spend the day securing an understanding of progression through the phonic phases of "Letters and Sounds". A range of practical activities will be explored, which can be used with pupils across the primary phase.
