Event Description
This essential course will support delegates in delivering high-quality phonics teaching, as well as developing key methods of application and the embedding of phonic skills across the curriculum.

Throughout the course, delegates will be looking at planning, assessment, opportunities for application, and independent learning.

By attending the course, participants will:

  • develop an understanding of the acquisition of phonological awareness develop an understanding of the phonic phases 2-4

  • build confidence in planning for and delivering the daily phonics teaching sequence, and assessing pupils' progress

  • examine strategies for supporting pupils' application of phonics across the curriculum
