Event Description
This is a day and a half course for those new to the SENCO role.
The course will look at the role and responsibilities of the Special Needs Coordinator (SENCO) in Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) Early Years settings.
Learning outcomes
- develop your knowledge of effective practice in working with children with SEND in Early Years and with their parents/carers
- explore how you implement the SEND Code of Practice 2015 Graduated Approach - Assess-Plan-Do and Review
- funding streams
- assessment tools and IEP target setting
Additional Information
There will be a case which will need to be submitted before the 2nd day of training. It is mandatory that attendees complete the case study in order to complete the course and attend both training days.
