Event Description
One of five training sessions as part of the Supporting smooth transitions project.

Teachers able to access sessions pertinent to the needs of their cohort, ranging from supporting children’s speech, language and communication skills, personal social and emotional skills, and effective behaviour for learning strategies.

HfL EYAs will also be joined by Aaliya Mavani, an Occupational Therapist, and Zara Bamberg, a Physiotherapist, for this session.

Learning outcomes
The aims of this course are to:

• understand the importance of physical development as a prime area
• gain an awareness of how gross and fine motor development impacts on children’s overall learning and development
• reflect on strategies to effectively recognise and support children with their physical development needs
• consider the implications of Covid-19 on children’s physical development
