Event Description
From staff timekeeping to child protection concerns, this session will seek to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to confidently and consistently manage all aspects of staff conduct.
The course will serve as a critical introduction for new school leaders as well as a useful refresher for experienced school leaders.
Learning outcomes
By attending the course, participants will:
- gain key skills to effectively manage their staff along with the fundamental principles of employment law
- fully understand their disciplinary policy and procedures along with any factors which may complicate it
- be able to confidently and consistently implement their disciplinary procedure
- be able to identify possible legal pitfalls and when to take further expert advice
- commit to taking a proactive and consistent approach to managing staff conduct and commit to generating and/or maintaining a positive culture of managing staff conduct
