Event Description
Adapted to be appropriate in a socially-distanced world, the Assessment Team are running remote small-group moderation clusters for teachers of Year 6 pupils, focusing on writing. This will be of particular benefit as there will be inevitable gaps in children’s learning arising from the lockdown, and teachers will need to focus their teaching towards end of KS2 expectations.

These sessions will consist of a pre-recorded webinar outlining key messages and information as well as a standardisation activity, and then live remote moderation opportunities in small groups of up to five teachers plus one assessment adviser.

Delegates will be able to share evidence of writing produced by their pupils so far in the autumn term and discuss with colleagues and an adviser the elements of the writing that are successful and the areas for development.

Teachers can book on to whichever session is most convenient.

Details will be sent in advance regarding the details to access the remote session along with technological advice on either connecting up a visualiser or scanning the pupil work, to be shared during the small group session for discussion and moderation.
