Event Description
This course is of particular relevance to teachers of pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL). The focus of this session is for EYFS schools and settings, but skills learnt will be transferable to other phases of education.

Delegates will learn about the most effective strategies to use to promote the development of language acquisition through all five stages of language learning from new to English to fluent.

  • to explore strategies to support learners with English as an Additional Language

  • reflect the needs of the children to support provision planning to improve outcomes for children with EAL

Learning outcomes

  • be equipped with a range of practical strategies which will ensure greater precision in addressing the needs of these learners

  • achievement will be greater and outcomes for pupils with EAL will improve, further improving school effectiveness
