Early Years Foundation Stage
What is the impact of our role and everyday interactions on children’s learning?
Every interaction we have with children in the EYFS should be meaningful, purposeful and support learning. Practitioners need to understand their role as a significant adult in a child’s development and what that responsibility incurs.
This course will be delivered across three online sessions (with a gap task in between) and will equip delegates to have a clear understanding of what their role entails.
- understand what make effective positive interactions, promotes engagement and supports sustained shared thinking
- develop secure knowledge about the adult's role in child initiated and adult led learning
- explore the role of questioning to consolidate, extend and challenge children in their learning
- recognise the adult's role in building upon what children know and can do in supporting progress in learning
