Event Description
Wanting to maximise the use of your outdoor learning environment? Looking for inspiration in developing your outdoor area?

This training will be delivered across two online sessions with a gap task in between. These sessions will offer practitioners a range of practical ideas for developing high-quality outdoor provision that will support learning across all areas of the curriculum. Practitioners will gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of outdoor learning for young children by exploring the theories that underpin practice.
Training objectives

  • to support practitioners in understanding the benefits of learning outdoors

  • to equip practitioners with a wealth of inspirational ideas to create an enticing and responsive outdoor learning environment

  • to provide practitioners with knowledge of theories that underpin high-quality learning in their outdoor learning space

Learning outcomes

  • understand the importance of the outdoor provision in improving children's outcomes

  • develop ideas for improving provision to reflect all areas of the curriculum

  • identify effective strategies to overcome possible challenges, including limited budgets

  • explore the theories that support the development of a high-quality outdoor learning environment
