Event Description
This unique, subject level programme for secondary science NQTs and trainees offers intensive and specialist science training and development from recognised experts in their subject, delivered through a blended online and face to face approach.
It will develop subject expertise and practice, both in the classroom and through effective assessment.
NQTs will be provided with a range of resources and strategies that they can quickly implement, either in the classroom or through distance learning via digital platforms.
Autumn training will consist of 3 webinars:
Tuesday 3rd November and Tuesday 24th November, Wednesday 9th December 3:30 - 5pm
Spring training: This will be a webinar session on Thursday 4th March 2021, 9-1:15pm

Learning outcomes
By participating in the programme, delegates will:
• develop skills and strategies to help ensure students make progress at all key stages
• leave the sessions better informed about GCSE and A-Level examinations and armed with engaging revision strategies that respond to the exceptional circumstances of the current academic year
• develop strategies and ideas to ensure that gaps in learning are identified and the needs of all students are met
• leave with a wide selection of resources and approaches which will allow NQTs to challenge pupils to show real understanding in a safe and constructive environment
Additional Information
The course cost is £375 for NQTs attending all sessions.
NQTs attending the spring and/or summer sessions only, will be charged at £135 per session.
