History NQT: subject specific training for secondary NQTs and trainees

This unique, subject level programme for secondary history NQTs and trainees offers intensive and specialist history training and development from recognised experts in their subject, delivered through a blended online and face to face approach.
It will develop subject expertise and practice, both in the classroom and through effective assessment.
NQTs will be provided with a range of resources and strategies that they can quickly implement, either in the classroom or through distance learning via digital platforms.
Autumn webinars: Wednesday 11th November, 4:30- 5pm, Monday 16th November, 4-4:30pm, Tuesday 24th November, 4-4:30pm
Monday 7th December, 4pm - 5:30pm
Prerecordings will be sent out on Thursday 12th November and Tuesday 17th November at midday to support these webinars.
Spring: This will be a webinar session on Monday 1st March 2021, 9-12:30
Summer date: Tuesday 8th June 2021, 9-4pm
By participating in the programme, delegates will:
• develop skills and strategies to help ensure students make progress at all key stages
• leave the sessions better informed about GCSE and A-Level examinations and armed with engaging revision strategies that respond to the exceptional circumstances of the current academic year
• develop strategies and ideas to ensure that gaps in learning are identified and the needs of all students are met
• leave with a wide selection of resources and approaches which will allow NQTs to challenge pupils to show real understanding in a safe and constructive environment
The course cost is £375 for NQTs attending all sessions.
NQTs attending spring and/or summer sessions only, will be charged at £135 per session.
