Event Description
The course gives an overview of the SIMS Behaviour Management module that a school can use to record, monitor and manage its students’ behaviour and achievements including the setups of the following SIMS areas, Homepage; Behaviour and Achievement Types; Bullying incidents and a brief overview of reporting. Behaviour is a strong measure in an Ofsted inspection and complete conduct records and evidence of monitoring will be beneficial during an inspection.

Effective recording of all conduct events will aid senior leaders and governors in monitoring the efficiency and consistency of the school’s strategies and reinforce the school’s Behaviour Policy.

Training objectives

  • consider Policy, Strategies & Culture

  • set up and configure the Behaviour Management area

  • edit relevant lookup tables to meet the needs of, and terminology used in an individual school

  • use the behaviour and achievement recording routines for individuals and groups of students

Learning outcomes

  • produce robust data for Ofsted, Governors, Leadership, Parents and Students

  • inform conduct strategies and policies

  • reduce workloads

  • provide efficient and effective processes

  • provide evidence of support for all parties

Additional Information
Delegates should have a familiarity of student data held in SIMS but it is more important that they have a good knowledge of the way behaviour and achievements are currently recorded, reported and analysed. It is equally important that the delegates are aware of the school’s Behaviour Policy and any future ambitions in this area.
