Event Description
Grappling with the aims and content within the Key Stage 1 curriculum and the Teacher Assessment Framework (TAF), it is increasingly important to understand what age-related expectations should look like. The course will look at the TAF for use from 2018/19 onwards to ensure that teachers are ready to adapt the learning appropriately. The training will be adapted in line with updated DfE guidance.

This course will support Year 1 and 2 teachers to help their pupils achieve the national standard and modify teaching to accelerate learning so that pupils maximise their potential. This will include tackling the key mathematical concepts that pupils find tricky and exploring teaching strategies to guide them towards success. Teachers will be given an opportunity to map out their long-term plan across the year, implementing the strategies and activities they will gain from the course.

This course will comprise of live webinars and pre-recorded modules. Once booked onto the course, delegates will be invited to a live webinar session taking place on Wednesday 20th January from 4pm - 5pm. Pre-recorded materials will then be available following the session until Tuesday 9th February when there will then be a further one hour follow up webinar at 4pm.
