Event Description
"Reading should not be presented to children as a chore or duty. It should be offered to them as a precious gift." Kate DiCamillo

We should all be giving our youngest children this richest of gifts. The ways in which we can share this gift with children are numerous, so this course is aimed at practitioners who are interested in creating a rich reading provision across all areas of their Early Years.

This course will provide practitioners with the knowledge and strategies required to underpin high-quality reading opportunities from phonics through to becoming an independent reader. These three sessions will focus on the fundamental skills and learning opportunities that enable children to gain the skills needed to start and gain progress along their road to independent reading.
