Event Description
During this session, delegates will explore many of the features in the Tools area of Cover. Using the functionality featured in the Tools area will enable cover managers to produce a completed cover summary board more efficiently and effectively. Quick win hints and tips will be demonstrated from within the Cover Diary.

Delegates will also be introduced to the reports available to schools for the monitoring and analysing of staff absences, staff cover statistics and also the statistical impact on students.
Training objectives

  • discuss many of the features available in the route of Tools > Cover

  • investigate creating various staff absences

  • assigning cover to unstaffed lessons with ease

  • look at quick wins available in the Cover Diary

  • consider the reports available to enable schools to monitor and analyse staff absences

  • consider the reports available to highlight cover undertaken by staff

  • consider the reports available to review the impact of absences and cover on students and their classes

Learning outcomes

  • to produce the cover summary efficiently

  • explore the use of these features in Tools > Cover to aid efficient working

  • be able to report effectively on staff absences, amount of cover undertaken and the impact on students
