Event Description
Evidence suggests that metacognition and the development of self-regulation can have a huge impact on learners, especially the most disadvantaged. In the last year, the importance of learners having the skills to think about and monitor their own learning and self-motivate has been apparent, and many schools are now thinking about how to incorporate the development of these skills into everyday classroom practice.

This webinar from the Assessment Team will explore the key concepts of metacognition as well as practical ideas for the classroom. The content would be relevant for those leading on teaching and learning as well as classroom teachers.

Understanding that time is precious in schools, especially this year, this training will be run as a twilight webinar and will also be recorded so that schools can access it at a time convenient for them.
