Event Description
This is the second in a series of evolving short webinars to support school staff in progressing towards being an anti-racist school. Sessions will build staff confidence by bringing teachers and leaders up to speed on various dimensions important within an anti-racist school.

This session focuses on the importance of gathering and responding BAME pupil and parent voice. Delivery will be by advisers with extensive experience of supporting schools on BAME engagement, responding to prejudice and racist incidents, and developing anti-racist practice. The strategies and approaches will support schools in meeting the requirements of the Race Equality Act 2010.

  • to explore the benefits of increased attention to BAME perspectives across the school

  • to boost confidence in working with BAME parents/carers and pupils
