Event Description
This unique, subject-level programme for secondary English NQTs and trainees offers intensive and specialist English training and development from recognised experts in their subject.

It will develop subject expertise and practice in the classroom.

NQTs will be provided with a range of resources and strategies to try out at school as well as having the opportunity to network and share strategies with other NQTs and trainees teaching English.

Learning outcomes
By attending the programme, participants will:


  • leave the sessions better informed about GCSE and A level examinations and armed with engaging revision activities and resources

  • develop strategies and ideas to ensure that the ‘outstanding’ criteria in the classroom is met

  • leave with a selection of resources and approaches which will allow NQTs to challenge pupils to show real understanding in a creative and constructive environment

  • develop skills and strategies to help ensure students make progress at all key stages
