Event Description
This course covers the essential information required for the effective management of asbestos remaining on the school premises. Areas covered include: risks of asbestos- locations and type HCC asbestos policy and guidance types of asbestos survey and understanding survey data the use of asbestos management plans the effective use of the permission to work procedure incident management asbestos works

Learning outcomes
By attending the course, participants will:


  • be able to implement effective practical management in their workplace including the permission to work procedure, annual inspections and reporting asbestos related incidents

  • understand their role and responsibilities in relation to managing asbestos where it remains in situ be aware of where to look for further information and advice

  • be able to act as an authorising officer for the school and complete the permission to work log
