The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) requires learning aim information to be submitted via the school census return for schools with a Sixth Form.
As communicated by ESFA, institutions may not receive the correct funding if the post-16 data returned is not accurate. Where schools make errors in the data they return, there is no guarantee that it will be subsequently corrected, even if a business case is submitted.
To support schools with the process of ensuring the post-16 census data returned from SIMS is accurate, Suki Gill, 16-19 Curriculum and Funding Adviser and Jackie Kirk, Data Management Consultant, have collaborated to deliver this joint session. The aim of the session is to give an overview and understanding of the data recorded in SIMS which feed into the census return as well as have an understanding of the key data requirements thus ensuring schools claim 100% funding in 2020/21.
