Student Lists in SIMS - building blocks to make reporting easy
Administrative Staff / SIMS Users
Academies and Schools (including EYFS)
This online webinar event is aimed at new or recent users of SIMS in primary schools seeking to build their knowledge of the system. It will also help those who may have been using SIMS for some time but are not familiar with the student list functionality.
You’ll explore some easy-to-use techniques to improve your ability to quickly and easily create student lists in SIMS, create your own library of bespoke reports - and consider how you can use this to develop your own reporting skills to support colleagues across your school. On completion of this course you will be sufficiently proficient to create your own reports immediately.
Questions are welcome throughout the event and we’re happy to respond to your requirements during the live session.
You will also have access to a recording of the event for future reference.
SIMS student list reporting is quick and easy to learn and allows the extraction of key data fields to be included in primary school reports e.g. Photograph, Contact, Pupil Premium, Ethnicity, SEN and Medical. The presentation of the report can be printed direct from the report or output to Excel enabling further analysis, if required. It also gives the ability to report on previous years (leavers) and pre-admission pupils joining your school in the next academic year.
By attending this course you will:
- create registration lists
- learn how to add data fields to reports including pupil photographs
- utilise the sort and filter functions to tailor reports to your specific requirements
- remove and add pupils to a report
- export report data to Excel
This is an online event priced at just £20 for Hertfordshire primary schools – hosted by Helen Waites and Katie Lewis of the HfL DMS team. After booking delegates will be sent instructions on how to access the event before it takes place.
No specialist software is required to be installed in order to attend - a standard internet browser is all that is required (ideally Chrome) - but please ensure that the sound on your computer or device is working and also that you will be in an environment where you can hear what's being presented - using headphones if necessary.
