Herts for Learning is delighted to support and work in partnership with Herts Sports and Physical Activity Partnership, Youth Sport Trust and Sport England to deliver their seventh Primary PE Conference. The focus for this year's conference is about “A New Decade, A New Challenge”.

The full day will comprise of a mixture of keynote addresses, interactive workshops looking at areas such as: 'Are you Ofsted ready?', 'The deep-dive experience', 'Top tips to survival and success as a new PE lead', 'Demonstrating personal development through PE', 'Top sportsability' and 'What makes high-quality physical education?' As well as various PE practicals, resources available to schools, ’School Games’ ,'PE Premium' and a question and answer session.

After the opening address, headteachers and PE subject leads will have a choice of practical and theoretical workshops to learn more about the focus areas that are most relevant to their professional and school needs.

By attending the conference, participants will:


  • gain a better understanding of the new Ofsted framework and how PE can contribute 

  • develop ideas for promoting activity, health and wellbeing, including mental health in their school

  • gain support to effectively report on their schools use of the PE and School Sport Premium

  • gain information regarding resources that can support the development of PE, Physical activity and sport in their school

  • be more informed on how Herts Sport and Physical Activity Partnership, Youth Sport Trust, School Games Organisers and Herts for learning can support their school
