Training objectives
Learning outcomes
The aims of this course are to:

  • have an understanding of relevant legislation and guidance relating to safeguarding children

  • update your awareness of significant harm and indicators of abuse

  • know the procedure for reporting suspected abuse

  • develop knowledge of the role of assessment, planning and review and recognise your role within multi-agency working

  • understand the process for reporting allegations made against staff

  • develop knowledge of Herts Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) procedures and website support

Additional Information
The pre-course requirements are that delegates have attended a basic introduction to child protection course within the past 4 years and have the role of designated person within their setting.
