Event Description
This term’s briefing for Sixth Form leaders will focus on the funding cycle for 2020/21 sixth form allocations. This session will also cover the impact of the £190 million increase in core funding for 16-19 year olds, as announced by the Chancellor for 2021/22 Sixth Form funding allocations.

Specifically, the session will focus on UCAS trends, to include the national picture of applications for 2020, and will include an overview and demonstration of the new UCAS adviser portal.

By attending this update, delegates will:


  • gain Post-16 funding allocation information (for 2020-21 Sixth Form allocations), with a focus on the funding cycle and steps to ensure funding is maximised



  • receive a strategic, national update from UCAS colleagues about the applications process, with an opportunity to discuss the new adviser portal



  • explore the degree apprenticeship application process, and support available with a view to improving learner choice and progression into apprenticeships
