Event Description
This course is designed for school administrators and data managers with little or no knowledge of SIMS Reporting. Delegates will be shown how to create new reports, edit existing ones and become familiar with the SIMS Reporting structure, enabling them to produce class lists, letters and labels in an efficient way.

At the end of the course, delegates will be given the opportunity to email the reports they have created back to their school, for use in their SIMS database.

Learning outcomes
By attending the course, participants will:

  • understand how to modify existing reports, e.g. adding and removing fields and filters, changing the sort order and changing the type of output

  • learn how to design reports from scratch and edit report templates

  • discover the useful features available in the Report Preview facility

  • practise using Sub Reports to gather information from more than one data area

  • gain experience in creating mail-merge reports to produce letters and labels
