Event Description
This remote training, delivered in one day over four webinars, is essential for any teacher new to teaching Year 2, or returning to teach in Year 2.

Led by the lead assessment adviser, this course will thoroughly unpick the requirements for the teacher assessment of reading, writing, maths and science as well as considering how to incorporate relevant assessment opportunities into teaching.

Delegates will also explore how Herts for Learning assessment resources can support the rapid identification of any gaps in learning, track pupils’ progress and support planning and teaching throughout the year. (These materials are non-statutory and some schools may have adopted a different approach to assessment. The course will still be relevant even if this is the case.)
