Event Description
As we move towards a blended learning environment, this webinar seeks to examine the most effective ways that the classroom teacher can adapt formative assessment strategies to work with remote and blended teaching and what that might look like. Drawing on successful examples of both synchronous and asynchronous remote learning, the webinar will provide practical examples that teachers can adapt to the IT platforms available to them. We will also examine key issues and considerations moving forward.

By attending the webinar, participants will gain:

• a consideration of the ways pupils can be helped to learn while at home, and how to manage blended or hybrid learning
• strategies for giving effective explanations, scaffolding and feedback remotely
• ideas for utilising peer marking, live discussions of lesson content, and peer collaboration remotely or with some pupils in the class and some at home
• strategies to support pupils to work independently while at home
