Helen Battelley is an internationally renowned consultant, trainer and speaker in physical development/movement in Early Education. Her training style is energetic, passionate and highly motivational. She has been working as a dance and movement specialist for over 19 years and has seen the benefits socially, emotionally and physically this pedagogy can bring to children. She is driven to inspire learning and learners to broaden their approach to increasing physical fitness in order to improve children’s wellbeing and development.

This course will enable delegates to have a clear understanding of the impact of children’s physical skills on their overall learning and development.

By attending this training, participants will:


  • learn how movement underpins all learning in early childhood

  • further enhance their understanding of the importance of primitive and postural reflexes in supporting children’s overall physical development

  • explore recent neuroscience research on epigenetics

  • reflect on practice and gain practical ideas to support children’s learning
