Event Description
Following the success of our recent webinar series; ‘Leading primary mathematics in current times’ training, we have developed a further series of webinars to provide regular support to mathematics subject leaders.

As the new academic year starts, these may well continue to be busy and challenging times. As a mathematics subject leader in a primary school; What should be done first when leading a subject? How to best support colleagues? How to ensure that provision maximises learning? What are the achievement aims this academic year and the plans to get there?

We can offer support on this journey, with regular check-ins, CPD and discussions about what effective subject leadership might involve.

This series of six, one hour live webinars, with additional resources, across the academic year 2021-2022 are aimed at helping mathematics subject leaders to prioritise key actions, support colleagues and lead their subject with confidence. Content will be reviewed and adjusted to ensure it takes account of the local and national context.
Training objectives

  • support mathematics subject leaders in their role, including prioritising key actions

  • share ideas and strategies to enhance classroom provision and maximise learning

  • discuss how to manage supporting colleagues, monitoring and feedback

  • share information and updates e.g. from the DfE and take account of the local and national context

  • be a forum for discussion with other mathematics subject leaders and Herts for Learning primary maths advisers
