This course, comprising three half-days, will keep delegates up to date with current thinking and good practice around all elements of high-quality provision in the Foundation Stage.
This course will respond to the DfE and Ofsted changes at the time of the course, so that the most up-to-date information is shared. This course was formerly known as 'Foundation stage essentials'.

This course is designed for new administrators or those wishing to refresh their knowledge of the end-of-year procedures in SIMS.
This course can be followed up by attending one of the 'SIMS End of Year on school data' sessions for those who wish to work on their own data and complete the process with guidance from a data management consultant.
A second delegate from the same school, sharing a computer, will be charged a discounted rate. HfL have allocated six discounted places for schools sending a second delegate, on a first-come, first-served basis.
This course, which follows on from the 'SIMS End of Year' course, will allow delegates to carry out the processes learned on that course and contained in the end-of-year documentation we send to schools, on their own school data, with guidance from a data management consultant. Delegates can book onto both sessions, some of which are on the same day, if required. Delegates with experience of the end-of-year procedures may choose to attend only this session to complete the process.
Delegates should have a basic familiarity of SIMS and have their own login to the system. Please note that we will send instructions (to the email address used to book a place onto this course) for setting up a computer in school to be connected to remotely during the session.
